Canadian Olympic Hockey Player
Meaghan is a 3 x Olympic medalist (Gold – Vancouver 2010, Gold – Sochi 2014, Silver – Pyeongchang 2018) and a seven-time IIHF World Championship medalist. She has been a member of the Canadian National Women’s Team Program since 2008. Prior to her time with Team Canada, Meaghan spent four years attending the University of Wisconsin on a full athletic scholarship from 2003-2007. While at the University of Wisconsin Meaghan was also a member of the Women’s under-22 National Team from 2003-2006. After taking the season off in 2014-2015 to start a family with her husband Scott, giving birth to their son Calder, Meaghan made a return to the Calgary Inferno of the CWHL and Team Canada for the 2015-2016 season, winning the Clarkson Cup with the Inferno..She led all defenders on the Inferno during the 2016-17 season with 15 points (five goals, 10 assists), when she was named the CWHL’s Defender of the Year. Most recently, Meaghan played with SDHL’s Luleå HF in Sweden after the 2018 Olympics. Off the ice, Meaghan and her Olympic Teammate Natalie Spooner were a team on The Amazing Race Canada.
